I have found a Seeley frame kit for sale from the original owner. The serial
Number is SH7-523. I believe that is a competition frame. Does anyone know for sure and how many of those frames were built?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

I don't think it's a competition frame. From the frame number it looks like a K model frame. Basically, there were three different versions of the Seeley frame, for the K models, the F1 (and K7/Cool and F2/3, respectively. And a small number of specials were built (maybe 10 or so), which have an 'S' in the chassis number. These specials usually lack mounts for the center stand, some of them hav special oil tanks, some don't.

In total 302 (give or take a few) chassis were built, plus six prototype frames. The production started with chassis 501 and ended with 802, which would make it 302 in total. But at least one chassis with a four digit frame number has surfaced, and Colin Seeley had confirmed the four digit number.

Cheers,
